Colosseum

Molly Travels

Hi from Rome! This is the last city on my journey, and I can’t say I’m completely disappointed about going home. Actually, I’m really excited, because I’ve missed a lot of things at home. That can wait, however, because right now I’m going to tell you about my trip to the Colosseum. Tristan was awesome about making me go to the Colosseum on our first day here, even though it was hot and I was tired. It turns out that it was a good choice, though, because the rest of the days have been hotter and also more crowded because of the weekend. Kiri, Tristan, and I had trained in from Venice the day before, gotten settled into our apartment, and made some pasta for dinner with tomato sauce and zucchini. At the crack of dawn the next day, we headed toward the Colosseum. It’s not exactly hard to miss…

The Maker’s Diet: 40 Day Health Experience

The Maker's Diet: 40 Day Health Experience

Yesterday, my mom and I started “The Maker’s Diet”, formulated by health expert Jordan Rubin, that focuses on biblical principles and allows a diet of grass fed beef, fruits, vegetables, and sprouted grains (what the bible people ate!!)

Rubin’s story is a success story if there ever was one! At age 19, he was struck with multiple debilitating diseases including Chron’s Disease and resulting ailments including severe dehydration. His body was basically starving itself!! Once a vibrant college student, he lost 70 pounds in 2 years, 20 of those pounds in the span of one week! He tried EVERYTHING and finally flew to California to try a biblically based diet (which was in the earliest stages of formation). He saw dramatic results and was soon fully healed. He went on to earn doctorates in the health field and devote himself to sharing the secrets of biblical healing with the world.

And then there was me….health has been a constant struggle, as I never really took 1 Corinthians 10:31 to heart:

(So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.)

or the all-time doozy:

(Under three things the earth trembles, under four it cannot bear up: a slave when he becomes king, a fool when he is filled with food…)

(Did you realize the bible even said that??!!)

So it is with a renewed commitment to health and healing that I end today and soon begin anew!!

More updates to come!

~L’ Chaim, to life!
